Hello!

I can’t believe how quickly this half term has flown by! I am so happy to have taken over as Apple Class teacher—I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful, enthusiastic group of learners. Their curiosity and excitement for learning make every day a joy!

The children have thoroughly enjoyed our ‘Moon Zoom’ topic, where we have learned all about the 1969 moon landing and the incredible astronaut Mae Jemison. We ended our topic with an amazing adventure to space, which was a fantastic way to bring our learning to life!

Next half term, our topic will be ‘Heroes’—these can be superheroes or real-life heroes, and we can't wait to explore their amazing stories. In maths, we will continue working on subtraction within 20, as well as learning about 2D and 3D shapes and numbers within 40. As spring begins, our science lessons will focus on the changing seasons.

I hope everyone has a lovely, restful half term, and I’m looking forward to another fun-filled few weeks of learning with Apple Class!
