Apple Class Update - Spring 2
Hello!
What a jam-packed half term of learning we’ve had in Apple Class as we leapt into spring! The children have been busy exploring inspiring figures from history, learning about the incredible Rosa Parks and Emily Davison—both heroes who changed the world for the better.
Our young authors have also been hard at work, creating their own storybooks complete with illustrations, featuring their very own superheroes. In addition, they spread kindness in our local community by making and decorating ‘kindness rocks’—keep an eye out for them!
Next half term, our topic will be ‘Paws, Claws and Whiskers,’ where we will explore the big question: How can we help endangered animals? In maths, we will focus on numbers up to 40 and solving addition and subtraction word problems. In phonics, we will begin learning some alternative sounds, and in science, we will be investigating animals, including humans.
Apple Class have worked incredibly hard this half term, and I am so proud of each and every one of them—I hope you are too!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter break, and fingers crossed for some beautiful spring sunshine. Looking forward to another fantastic half term ahead!
Best wishes,
Ms Kelly
